Due to an increase in workload throughout our Fabrication Workshop, and increased demand for deliveries to site we are looking for a Yard Operative to assist us to improve wagon loading times.

The ideal candidate will be assertive and take pride in their work. The duties of the role include loading and unloading wagons with steel, bringing steel sections in and out of workshops and collecting & completing deliveries documentation.

You must be able to work as part of a team to move and load materials safely and within limited timescales, as well as under your own initiative.

You will have:

• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced fluid environment.
• The ability to follow and issue clear instructions.
• A positive attitude and flexible approach to duties.

If you have a Class 2 HGV licence, that would be an advantage, but is not essential for the role.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £14 & £18.66 OT

• Deliveries & Stores procedures (advantage)
