We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Head Office as a Purchasing Coordinator.
Your normal working day will cover aspects of the following -
- Create Purchase orders on SAGE software; fill out items purchased and the prices that have been quoted.
- Ensure that order confirmations are obtained for all purchase orders raised, and that the full paper trail is filed for each purchase order
- Ensure that quotations are obtained from a selection of suppliers so that the Company is getting the best quality product for the most reasonable price
- Organise Hire of Equipment and Machinery for Works
- Liaise with Managing Director, Operations Manager, Project managers and Supervisors on site regarding purchasing of materials/equipment
- Manage incoming telephone, and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Sourcing of products from new and alternative suppliers
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast purchasing needs
Qualifications & Experience - Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a purchasing / procurement role
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships
- Highly motivated and a positive attitude towards work
