Due to an increase in workload throughout our Fabrication Workshop we are looking for a Yard Labourer to assist us to improve wagon loading times.

The ideal candidate will be assertive and take pride in their work. The duties of the role include shot blasting steel, bringing steel sections in and out of shot blasting building, housekeeping duties and deliveries/collections, drilling, wire brushing and assisting fabricators.

You must be able to work as part of a team to move materials safely and within limited timescales, as well as under your own initiative.

You will have:

• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work in a fast paced fluid environment.
• The ability to follow and issue clear instructions.
• A positive attitude and flexible approach to duties.

If you have a Class 2 HGV licence, that would be an advantage, but is not essential for the role.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £13.39ph & £18.54ph O/T

Licence/Certification:

• Telehandler Licence (advantage)
• Forklift Licence (required)
• Full UK driving licence and vehicle
• 7.5 Tonne Vehicle Licence with CPC (preferred)
• Lifting & Slinging Certification (advantage)
• Shot blasting experience (advantage)
• Use of 110v portable grinders would be an advantage
